How to Grow Aubergine Plants

Planting Time:

Spring (Starting Indoors or in Greenhouse)

Harvest Time:

Mid-Late Summer

Planting & Care Instructions:

Fill pots or cell trays with compost and press down to firm the soil
Take a pinch of seeds and sprinkle into the pot or tray
Aubergine seeds have a good germination rate, so only sow a few more seeds than the amount of plants you eventually want
Cover the seeds with 0.5cm of compost, pat down and gently water
If starting the plants in a greenhouse, make sure to bring them inside during any cold spells
Aubergine plants like warm and sunny conditions, so only plant outside once large enough, and once conditions are warmer
